WXPN PHILADELPHIA

7PM-11PM (Special early start time to accommodate live concert)

Special Feature, Tom Rush in Concert from World Cafe Live, Philadelphia-
Tom Rush, always a favorite with Philadelphia area audiences, has a tradition of playing this town over the holiday season. This started in the late 1960s when Tom would spend a few days in November or December at the original Main Point Coffeehouse in suburban Bryn, Mawr, PA.
In recent years the tradition has been revived, thanks to the opening of World Cafe Live on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania--a perfect setting for Tom's fine songs and his warm and witty presentation. This past Sunday evening WXPN broadcast Tom's entire show Live on Gene Shay's Folk Show enabling many of Tom Rush, fans, world-wide, to enjoy the concert over xpn.org.
